project#4: the ceramic exhaust

For a while I have kept myself busy trying to make a ceramic muffler/exhausts. Technically I should be possible for it can stand the heat. Esthetically it could be mind-blowing, just throwing on the pottery wheel any shape you like. The only challenge is to find a solution for the vibration when you driving, but my guess is it is possible.
My first idea was to make it a cast porcelain exhaust. The bright white in contrast with the black soot.

So far I've made a casting mould and casted a few,but the shrinkage of 16% and the total height of almost 60cm didn't give any usable result.
The next step is to press mould a few with a low shrinkage clay. I have to try and keep the walls thin and strong.

single seat buddy for the Elite

It's time for  a more sporty look for the Elite.I'm making a stretched single seat on the pan of the original seat. The shape will be made of glassfibre enforced epoxy which can be glued upon the pan.The back will be a highgloss black, the upholstery a black leather with rivets, 60-ies caferacer style.

project#3: 1978 SR500

My SR500 in a non-rideable sorry state. It still has the XT tank and seat, but planning to bring it back into a better condition soon.
Mods planned: get it running well, then do a 19" front on the rear wheel conversion, a scrambler exhaust, double discs on the front. Not decided on the handlebars yet.
Do like the idea of very very swiss cheesed aluminum sidepanels and spoiler on the front bottom...

project#2: 1986 Honda Spacy/Elite

project#2: 1986 Honda Spacy/Elite.

3 years ago I bought my first scooter, a Honda Elite. I always liked the scooter scene since the video of 'Good thing' by the Fine Young Cannibals, but after finding a book about the Japanese Bozu-Zoku scene that really blew me away, I decided to get one.
The CH250 Spacy or Elite was the first ever new style power scooter from Japan and more compact than the big cruiser CN250 Helix/Fusion.
I'm trying to find a mixed style for it: a bit bully, low on it's shocks, fat on the rims like the Hawaiian Rucksters combined with some Japanese peacock Bozo-Zoku feathers.
Modifications so far: 4 cm lowered front and rear shocks, Elite indicators, remote controlled LED lighting underneath, custom exhaust, constant changing vinyl graphics.
Mods to come [someday]: shaved single seat, bmx stem and new style handlebars, more and better graphics and finally a fatty conversion 10x8 and stretch...

project#1: 1981 Suzuki DR370

Project#1:1981 Suzuki DR370 restoration.
The DR370 wasn't officially released in the Netherlands, but I got the headlight and taillight from the US;. The skid plate comes from a 1981 DR400, but looks exactly like the DR370 skid plate. It also has a DR400 rear and front wheel and footpegs. Shocks will be 390mm RM400.
