working on the new Helix exhaust

Apologies from the lack of posts. Too many unimportant distractions.
I've been working on the Helix exhaust, finding the parts. I plan to do a long and straight pipe, probably with a separate extension, so I can still park it in the workshop. This setup is still too long, but the stainless pipe has the right diameter.

drawings for the subframe and swing arm CH250 Spacy/Elite

I'm making drawings for the subframe and swing arm by making templates on paper from gaskets and pin gauges. After scanning them into the computer I use Adobe Illustrator to make dxf files.

working on the stretch subframe CH250 Spacy Elite

I'm working on the subframe to determine how long it needs to be. The clearance between the wheel and the spring was practically zero so I made the offset 45mm instead of 41mm. I'll be making a 4 mm spacer between the hub and the wheel. i hope I won't have to adjust the frame for the cylinder head.

getting somewhere with the CH250 Spacy Elite hub

Today, I did some work on the hub. I made a removable center piece, so you can fit different rims. This one's inside diameter is 62mm.If I want to change it I can change the center ring.I have to find M10 lug bolts, not very common apparently. The second option is to use long M10 press bolts.Or make the holes larger to fit M12 bolts.
The next thing is to fit it on the frame and see what the offset will be.

Art matters instead of Elite Spacy works

I've been busy making some new artwork for an exhibition. Motorcycle life mixed with bird skulls and feathers. All made on the wood lathe and disc sander.
No progress on the Spacy Elite. Finally received the hub from LA, but it's not a straight fit.But it will be a good example for my own hub to create.
Sept 29th, I'll be organizing the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride 's-Hertogenbosch.I'll drop some images in due time.

quick update CH250

Some quick shots of the tyresetup. Bought a new rim with tyre 225/4,5-10.Practically same diameter as the 120/90-10 tyre.
After trying to find some parts to manufacture a hub myself, i decided to trim the original hub and use it as a base for the new hub. Also ordered a gasket set so I can start to make some templates for the right side.

Honda CH250 Spacy/Elite quick shots

A few quick shots after cleaning up the scoot. Unfortunately too occupied with serious business to post.
I did order a nice 10x8-10 inch rim and the ATR hub will soon be shipped from LA. Fatty time!

project#2: 1986 Honda Spacy/Elite

project#2: 1986 Honda Spacy/Elite.

3 years ago I bought my first scooter, a Honda Elite. I always liked the scooter scene since the video of 'Good thing' by the Fine Young Cannibals, but after finding a book about the Japanese Bozu-Zoku scene that really blew me away, I decided to get one.
The CH250 Spacy or Elite was the first ever new style power scooter from Japan and more compact than the big cruiser CN250 Helix/Fusion.
I'm trying to find a mixed style for it: a bit bully, low on it's shocks, fat on the rims like the Hawaiian Rucksters combined with some Japanese peacock Bozo-Zoku feathers.
Modifications so far: 4 cm lowered front and rear shocks, Elite indicators, remote controlled LED lighting underneath, custom exhaust, constant changing vinyl graphics.
Mods to come [someday]: shaved single seat, bmx stem and new style handlebars, more and better graphics and finally a fatty conversion 10x8 and stretch...
